Community Consolidated School District 93 Awarded 2019 IMEC Bronze Award for
Excellence by the IMEC Recognition Program
Peoria, IL – November 19, 2019 – IMEC has announced Community Consolidated School
District 93 or Bloomingdale, IL as a recipient of the 2019 IMEC Bronze Award for Excellence.

“Community Consolidated School District 93 is honored to be awarded the 2019 IMEC Bronze
Award for Excellence,” said David H. Hill, Ed.D., Superintendent of Schools, Community
Consolidated School District 93. “We embrace continuous improvement as it helps us to meet
our mission of maximizing the academic, social, and emotional potential of each student.

The feedback that we have received from the IMEC Award application process will help us continue
to grow as an organization.

The IMEC Bronze Award for Excellence is granted to those organizations that demonstrate systematic approaches that respond to the basic requirements of the Baldrige Framework for Performance Excellence criteria. A general improvement orientation must be evident in the organization, along with key approaches by senior leaders to guide and sustain the organization and prove the use of systematic approaches to improve key work processes. Additionally, the
organization must report results for several areas that are important to the accomplishment of
their mission.

Community Consolidated School District 93 (CCSD93) is an elementary school district, which serves a diverse community of students in preschool through eighth grade from Carol Stream, Bloomingdale, and Hanover Park, Illinois. CCSD93’s mission is to strive to maximize the academic, social and emotional potential of each student. Its vision is to inspire students to build the future.

CCSD93’s students will have the skills to be entrepreneurs, global collaborators, and creators; be prepared for anything their future has to offer; and be ready to help the world
achieve its potential. Approximately 3,600 students are enrolled in the district’s nine schools.
The district’s Early Childhood Center houses classrooms for preschool students. K-5 students are taught at six elementary buildings: Carol Stream, Cloverdale, Elsie Johnson, Heritage Lakes, Roy DeShane, and Western Trails. Two middle schools, Jay Stream and Stratford, serve students
