"Were you there?"

It's become a new tradition with the Carol Stream Chamber--  the St. Patty's Day Reverse Raffle -- and it commenced on Friday, March 14th.  150 tickets were sold for a chance to win the 1st place prize of $5,000. The Holiday Inn & Suites banquet room was filled to capacity.

The attendees dined on corned beef, fish and other delicious food. Chair of the event Mike Hall hushed the crowd to begin the 2nd Annual Reverse Raffle.  Jim Brust along with Mark Bodane assisted.

The fun began as did the blarney and charm of the Irish in the room as they convinced one another that they would win the pot of gold. As the numbers were called out, the room became electric with excitement.  Finally it was down to ten numbers.  Several of the attendees realized their chances were fading unless they came up with a game plan where all would win.  At that moment they agreed to split the winnings if any of the five numbers made it to the end.  Five lucky recipients split the pot three prizes which totaled $6,250.  A fun event was enjoyed by all.
