Carol Stream Pond & Stream Sweep - Every year volunteers “sweep our ponds and streams” by picking up trash and debris along the pond shorelines and stream banks. Since 1999 almost 750 volunteers have participated in our annual Pond & Stream Sweep. This year the Pond & Stream Sweep will be held on Saturday, May 22nd starting at 8:00 am. Carol Stream as a Cool City - Global warming and the effect of pollution on the earth’s environment have become major issues across the country. In 2005 Carol Stream’s Mayor Ferraro signed the U. S. Mayor’s Climate Protection Agreement, and Carol Stream was recognized by Sierra Club as a ‘Cool City’. But what does that mean for Carol Stream residents? Carol Stream MS Support Group - Are you looking for an upbeat place to go where you can get resources, emotional support and information about this disease for yourself, friends, and/or family members? Join the group from 7 to 8:30p.m. on the second Friday of every month at Lutheran Church of the Master, 580 Kuhn Rd., Carol Stream.
