Luncheon Policy Update There
is a new Luncheon Policy beginning 2008 which
requires attendees to pre-register for all chamber luncheons,
regular monthly luncheons as well as Women In Business
luncheons. When you pre-register, we are better able to plan
with the restaurants we are dealing with for the right amount
of meals. Pre-registration (RSVP) must be done before
3 business days prior (Friday noon for a
Wednesday luncheon) and walk-ins will not be able to be
accommodated). Cost for member lunch will be $20 and
non-members are $25 pre-paid. Cancellation and no-shows will
be charged $20. We do appreciate your consideration and
cooperation on this new policy. Please call Luanne Triolo if

Luncheon
Our January 9th luncheon will be an inspiring
beginning to your year - "Moments of Truth: Creating
Moments of Excellence" by author and motivational
speaker Jim Accetta.
Every moment is another opportunity for you. It may be an
opportunity to make a great business connection, to
create an intimate moment, to make that great 'first
impression' and every other 'lasting' impression after
that. During his talk, Jim shares how you too can create
lasting moments of truth -- relationships that matter
-- and memories that you'll want to remember a
lifetime. Come to this
luncheon to network with other chamber members and learn
about your moment.
Held at the Holiday Inn on Wed, Jan 9th from
11:30-1pm, RSVP for this luncheon before January 7th.

Super Rockin' After
Hours
January 17th will be our Augustino's SUPER
After Hours: Get Your Game Face On! Gear up for
the Super Bowl!
Come out and Rock 'N Roll with Cathy and
Jerry Morelli and staff at Augustino's. They'll have
amazing food, complimentary beer and wine, raffles and
prizes. Football attire will get you a prize! This
networking After Hours will be a great way to meet
fellow chamber members along with tasting Augie's best!
Come on out and 'let the good times
roll'!! Augustino's is located at the corner of Schmale
and St. Charles Road in Carol Stream. The time is
5:30-7:30pm and it's a FREE
event. |

5 Star Expo Lands...in
Carol Stream! 
This year the Five Star Business Expo will be 12
years old! New things are in store for those who will be
exhibiting as well as attending this
business-to-business expo. The Expo will be a little
later this year, on Wednesday, March 26th.
Exhibitors will get an extra hour to be 'on' as the Expo
will be open from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
For those who have never attended, the Five Star is
a collection of business professionals from five
chambers: Bartlett, Carol Stream, Bloomingdale, Addison
and Glendale Heights. Exhibitors pay a fee to have a
booth, or can 'bump it up a notch' and be a sponsor or
super sponsor. Visitors pay no entrance fee, but need a
business card to enter.
The location of the event this year will move
to the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites/Carol Stream!
Booths will be located all throughout the hotel -- in
the Stratford ballroom, Majestic tent, atrium hallways,
as well as three smaller meeting rooms.
