proud member of the Carol Stream Chamber of Commerce.
Some of these have been hand-delivered. If you do not
have yours, and you are in the area, stop by and pick one up.
The rest will be mailed at a later date.
We thank you for your

Luncheon Policy Update There
is a new Luncheon Policy beginning 2008 which
requires attendees to pre-register for all chamber luncheons,
regular monthly luncheons as well as Women In Business
luncheons. When you pre-register, we are better able to plan
with the restaurants we are dealing with for the right amount
of meals. Pre-registration (RSVP) must be done before
3 business days prior (Friday noon for a
Wednesday luncheon) and walk-ins will not be able to be
accommodated). Cost for member lunch will be $20 and
non-members are $25 pre-paid. Cancellation and no-shows will
be charged $20. We do appreciate your consideration and
cooperation on this new policy. Please call Luanne Triolo if
you have any further questions on this matter (630)
665-3325. |

St. Patty's Day Reverse Raffle
Coming
Even though we may be
inundated by snow and ice, there is a golden glow on the
horizon. The glow comes from the 'pot-o-gold' of the St.
Patty's Day Reverse Raffle on March 13th, 2008.
Ask your fellow chamber members what they know
about this unique networking social -- they will tell
you it's not to be missed.
Beginning at 5:30 with a cocktail hour, there will
be appetizers and LOTS of prizes - 101 to be
exact! The top prize is $5,000 to the winning ticket --
the only number NOT pulled, of the 200 numbers. Raffle
tickets are $100 each and are available from a board
member or the chamber office.
One of the BEST parts of the evening -- besides the
chance at winning 5g's -- is that everyone who attends,
IF they are a ticket holder, has a chance to win an
additional door prize. This year, it will be a 50 inch
Plasma HD-TV AND a Wii game system!!!
Get off your couches, you couch potatoes and come to the
Reverse Raffle. YOU may be the lucky leprechaun!

Fabulous
February Luncheon
On Wednesday, February
13th, the chamber luncheon will be held at the Holiday
Inn/Carol Stream from 11:30-1pm. The topic will be
"Watt's Up - Real Energy Conservation Tips that Will
Save You Money"
Energetic and
informational, Kay McKeen from SCARCE will visit our
chamber luncheon and ignite us all to do more to save
the earth and save money. Also, recycling information
will be provided and learn more about "Clean Air
Counts." Kay was named one of the top 10
environmentalists in DuPage County by the Daily
Herald.
You will leave this
event energized and with valuable tips to go forth and
conserve! Recycle your TyVek envelopes - a free
'mailback' envelope to the first 400 who sign up for
this event.
Network with fellow
chamber members and guests at this event.

After Hours at Flip
Flops
Our February 21st After Hours will take is to a
Caribbean-themed restaurant and grill called Flip Flops Tiki Bar and Grill. Located at the Fountains of Town
Center (nw corner of Gary and Lies Road), Flip
Flops opened last year.
The Sebalaskeys have created a wonderful
neighborhood spot for many to gather, eat, have a drink
and socialize.
The chamber members who attend this After Hours
will be doing some of that, as they network to get to
know each other.
Flip Flops is at 1022 Fountain View Drive in Carol
Stream. The time is 5:30-7:30pm and it's a FREE event.

Up
There has been a lot of interest in this year's
Five Star Business Expo. As of February 4th, 66 booths
are filled with just 34 left.

this B-to-B event held on March 26th from 9am to
3pm.
All are invited to an After Hours "Kick-Off" on
February 27th at Bloomingdale Golf Club, 181 Glen Ellyn
